This is really important when you can’t afford to miss a shot due to the fact your card is slow at writing shots/videos (weddings and fireworks for example). An extra memory card is the cheapest accessory you can buy, but is often the most important especially if you lots of long shootings.

4. Battery Grip
Canon BG-E8 Battery Grip – If you’ve got two batteries and want more stability, along with a vertical shutter button (and a few more buttons), a battery grip is recommended.
- Double battery life (around 1920 shots before re-charging)
- If you often shoot vertically, the extra shutter button provides much more stability so you can get sharper images
- Also works with the 70D (no need to upgrade if you have it, they both use the same grip)
