Sony A6500 Advantages:
- Body Image Stabilization – The Sony A6500 has built-in body stabilization for photos and videos, which is an excellent feature for traveling and shooting in low light.
- Continuous mode – 11fps vs 8fps. It’s an advantage, but not something you will really notice that often.
- AF Points – 425 vs 325 AF points. The X-T10 has only 169 phase detection, while the Sony has all 425 which makes it more accurate in low light.
- Viewfinder Magnification – Higher magnification.
- JPEG Buffer Size – 231 vs 62. Useful for long bursts.
- RAW Buffer Size – 110 vs 25.
- Built-in NFC
- Environmentally Sealed – The Sony A6500 is much more protected for shooting outdoors in difficult terrain and bad weather conditions.
- Size – The Sony A6500 is noticeably smaller.
The A6500 is a little more expensive, but it offers built-in body stabilization, slightly faster burst mode (11 vs 8fps), better AF system, way bigger JPEG and RAW buffers and environmental sealing. This will make you less stressed when shooting outdoors in difficult weather (rain, dust etc.).

- Max Flash Sync Speed – 1/180 vs /160.
- Weight – The Fujifilm X-T20 weighs 70g less.
- Less Expensive – The X-T10 costs around $400 less
The A6500 is an amazing camera. The previous A6300 was great, but now we also have touchscreen, 5-axis body stabilization and way bigger buffer. These 3 features are something you’ll appreciate at any time you’ll be taking pictures or videos.
