Two years difference between these two models, but specification wise, it seems like they could be released around the same time. Was the wait worth it?

Advantages of Nikon D7200:
- 2 stops higher native ISO sensitivity, resulting in more noise-free images. Maximum sensitivity bumped to 102,400
- Newer processor for faster overall performance
- Bigger buffer (18 RAW 14-bit files instead of 6 for the D7100)
- Built-in Wi-Fi and NFC
And that’s about it. If you’ve got a D7100 then there you probably won’t miss much by not upgrading. It’s not that the camera would be bad or anything, it’s just that for the past few years, cameras have been so good that it’s hard to excite the market as well as before. If the camera allows you to get great shots (both of these do), then we shouldn’t really complain, but rather focus on taking pictures and learning.
