- LCD Screen – 3.2″ vs 3.0″ and supports touchscreen
- Top LCD Display – Great when shooting in manual/semi-auto modes because you can quickly preview your settings
- 4K Video – Available at 30, 25 or 24p!
- Microphone & Headphone Jack – Useful for monitoring audio quality while recording videos
- Max Shutter Speed – 1/8000 vs 1/4000
- Buffer – Twice as big buffer for both JPEG and RAW files
- Flash Sync Speed – 1/250 vs 1/160
- Startup Time – Not yet measured, but it should be around 0.5s which is 4x faster than the A6000
- Built-in Bluetooth
- Battery Life – 600 shots longer
The D7500 costs a lot more, but we think it’s worth it if you find many of these advantages useful and can see yourself using them. For example, a bigger LCD that supports touchscreen will make your life much easier, especially if you’re into videos. Not to mention, the camera can record at 4K, has an extremely high ISO that’s useful for low light and astrophotography, starts 4x faster and has a much longer battery life.

Sony A6000 Advantages:
- Megapixels – 4 more megapixels. Not a big difference unless you print really big
- Focus Peaking – The A6000 can highlight what’s in focus. This is useful when focusing manually, either in photo or video
- AF Points – 179 vs 51. However, the D7500 will do a little bit better job in low light since it’s also got 15 cross-type points
- 11 vs 8fps – Great for extreme sports and wildlife
- Built-in NFC
- Weight & Size – 300g lighter and a lot more compact
- Less Expensive – Body only, the A6000 costs $750 less
The A6000 is a mirrorless announced in 2014, which explains the lower price. It’s still an excellent camera if you’re on a budget; 11fps, 24MP and 179 AF points. It’s super small and great for traveling if you dislike bigger cameras, but don’t forget to bring along a few extra batteries.
