1.  Battery

Sony NP-FW50 Battery – Mirrorless cameras don’t really have good batteries so it’s recommended to get at least 1-3 extra if you plan on traveling or shooting longer events. Most hold up to 300 shots, so for weddings, concerts or nature trips, definitely bring along some backup.

  • If you record videos or shoot weddings, concerts, an extra battery is a must
  • You can get up to 720 shots with two batteries

You can buy it at Amazon.

2.  Flash Speedlite

neewer-tt560-flash-speedlite

Neewer TT560 Flash – Works perfectly on all Sony cameras (Canon and Nikon as well), comes with a built-in bounce card and a diffuser, and is easy and simple to use regardless of your skills. Number one selling flash on Amazon because of its low price and good results.

  • Works perfectly on Sony cameras
  • Vertical Rotation: 0-90 degrees | Horizontal Rotation: 0-270 degrees
  • Guide Number 38 (at ISO 100)
  • Features 8 steps of power levels (from 1/128 to 1/1)
  • Slave mode so you can use it with other flash units

You can buy it at Amazon.

3.  Memory Card

best-sdhc-memory-cards

SanDisk 32GB Extreme Pro UHS-I (95MB/s) – SanDisk is number one when it comes to memory cards brands, and this one is fast enough so you can take pictures in burst mode without waiting for the card to write the files. This is really important when you can’t afford to miss a shot due to the fact your card is slow at writing shots/videos (weddings, events and night photography for example). The A6300 can’t support UHS-II so this UHS-I is by far the best you can get.

  • Read up to 90MB/s + Write up to 95MB/s
  • It’s waterproof, shockproof and x-ray proof as well
  • Full HD at 60fps and 11fps burst mode are no challenge for this card
  • You can store over 3,000 shots on 32GB (assuming you shoot at 24MP, JPEG)

You can buy it at Amazon.

Also: SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro 95MB/s

4. Battery Grip

Meike MK-A6300 Grip – If you want more stability, vertical shutter button and longer battery life, you should get a battery grip. Even shooting in the vertical position alone is a good reason to get one of these, as you’ll be much more stable. It will make your overall setup heavier and bigger though.

  • Double battery life (around 720 shots before re-charging)
  • If you often shoot vertically, the extra shutter button provides much more stability so you can get sharper images
  • Works on A6000 and A6300

You can buy it at Amazon.

5.  Tripod

tripod-accessory

Dolica AX620 62″ Tripod and Ball Head – Hands down the best tripod for any DSLR under $100 (this one costs $50). You shouldn’t get the cheapest tripod because they’re usually aimed at lighter cameras like a point and shoot.

  • Supports a maximum weight of 13.2lbs (Sony A6000 body weighs 12.13 oz )
  • Weighs 2.5 lbs and is 22.5 inches tall (when fully collapsed)
  • 62 inches maximum height
  • Ball head plate and a bubble level

You can buy it at Amazon.

Also: AmazonBasics 60″ Tripod

6.  Disc Light Reflectors

neewer-5-in-1-reflector

Neewer 5-in-1 (43″) Collapsible Light Reflector – Light is the most important factor for any photograph, and the more you can control/affect it, the more chances you have of truly getting professional shots. Sometimes that’s by using an external flash, and sometimes that’s by simply reflecting the available light (or with a flash) to specific areas of your subject.

  • 5 light reflectors in 1 (43 inches diameter when opened)
  • Gold, black, silver, white and translucent, 5 most popular colors
  • Perfect for both studio and outdoor photography, easy to carry
  • This is the cheapest but most effective accessory to really make your shots look better (I also recommend the flash above)

You can buy it at Amazon.

7. Wireless Remote Control

Foto & Tech Wireless Shutter Remote – If you’re into night photography, fireworks, stop motion or any type of photography where you use longer shutter speeds and can’t have your finger constantly on the shutter button, a remote control really makes your life easier and allows you to be more precise with long exposures (there’s also no shake from you pressing the shutter button on the camera itself).

  • Works with all Sony cameras (APS-C and FF)
  • Up to 32 feet operating range

You can buy it at Amazon.
