There’s been some new information on the upcoming Canon EOS-1D X Mark II, a camera that’s probably going to released in early/mid 2016.
Its AF system will have over 61AF points, with the majority of these being cross-type. It will also feature a new type of a viewfinder to handle all of these auto focus points crammed into such a small space, and there’s also a possibility that the top and/or main camera screens will be OLED.
The current Canon EOS-1D X was announced almost 4 years ago, and there’s a high chance we will see the new flagship cameras from Canon and Nikon relatively soon.
